What Now?

Christian Warrior

The firestorm ignited by the Supreme Court decision regarding same-sex marriage is burning fiercely and will only get hotter.  Good! Complacent and compromising Christianity will, at least for the time being, dissipate as Believers are forced to take a stand for righteousness and truth.  Finally! The old stand-by and catch-all phrase “agree to disagree” is gone. Now, those who choose to disagree with this new agenda are blatantly labeled as bigots.

What now?

It’s all very simple.  Activate your right to proclaim Christ is Lord and that you are a son of righteousness. Declare that your confidence is in Him, and that you will not be moved. Plant yourself firmly upon the inviolable Word of God that does not change – ever.  Make it known that this is who you are and where you stand – and go no further.  Do not fall into the trap of trying to defend God or His Word.  Yahweh can take care of Himself and His Word will never fail.  Many Christians have already been caught up in a seemingly endless dialogue that often includes vicious attacks from respondents.  To these well-meaning Believers I have one word:  “Stop!”  I know that’s easier said than done.  If you are like me you have a compulsion to have the last word.  But it’s not our Word that is being called into question; it’s not our Word that’s being challenged and denigrated; it is His Word, and He IS the Word, and long after Heaven and earth have passed, long after this government has disintegrated into ash and been blown into nothingness, He will still be the Word and He will have the last Word!

I also remind you of what Yahshua said in Matthew 7:6 – “Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs.  If you do, they will trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.”

That is precisely what is happening – right now.  Do not present the precious Treasure that we have to those who simply cannot and will not receive it.  These are reprobate minds, eyes that cannot see, ears that cannot hear, hearts that are hardened.  Those who will inevitably take the above verse and elevate its divine hyperbole into some sort of attack only prove what I have just said.  Expect it, but don’t feed into it.  There is plenty of spiritual warfare yet to be done.

In conclusion, I will make this prophetic declaration:

Do not be afraid!  Be of good courage!  Make known your faith and trust – stand upon the Rock against which the waves of wickedness cannot prevail.  Live righteous lives that are above reproach.  Bless those who curse you, pray for those who despise you, do good to those who do evil to you.  Love with the extravagant love of our glorious Savior.  And rejoice!  For the Bride is being prepared for her Groom! Be strong and of good courage for The Day approaches when EVERY knee will bow and EVERY tongue will confess that CHRIST IS LORD!
